Have you ever heard these silly Southern saying? I remember getting repeatedly sent to detention in high school simply because I couldn't keep quiet. If something was on my mind, I had to share it with at least one or two classmates. I loved to talk. And still do.
But over time, I have learned that silence can be golden. Sometimes less said communicates more than mere words. An extrovert from the womb, I can strike up a conversation with just about anyone, but rather than carry on about frivolity, I hope what I say purposefully encourages others. "Kind words are like honey sweet to the soul and healthy for the body" (Proverbs 16:24).
And if anyone wants to talk, I'm always game for a good conversation. 😉
